Origins: The origin of the Bichon Frise
can be traced back to the 14th century. They were
bred as "lap dogs" for the wealthy and
well-to-do. The name Bichon Frise means literally
"curly lap dog" in French.
Description: The Bichon Frise is a sturdy,
little dog, with a small body. The curly coat
gives it the appearance of a "puff ball".

Coat: Bichon Frise have a double coat,
the top layer consists of fine, silky corkscrew
curls that are buff, cream or apricot.
Disposition: Bichon Frise are highly social
and have plenty of energy, but they can be difficult
to house train. Bichon are good with children.
