the Mediterranean, Spanish Traders brought
the small dogs with gifts for Cuban women.
The small dogs became pampered pets of
the Cuban wealthy.
Description: The Havanese is a
small, sturdy short-legged dog. They have
a high tail and drooping tails similar
to those of a Bichon Frise. The Havanese
have a thick double coat that is 6 to
8 inches in length.
Size: Havanese dogs are small
dogs that weigh between 7 and 13 lbs,
they stand 8.5 to 11.5 inches tall at
the shoulder.
