Origins: Scottish Terriers were initially
bred as a working farm dog that hunted foxes,
and badgers.
Description: The Scottish Terrier has
an elongated head shape, distinctive bushy eyebrows,
large erect pointed ears and a thick "mustache".
The Scottish Terrier has short legs, a compact
body, they are heavily boned resulting in a powerful
dog in a small body.
Size: Scottish Terriers weigh 19 to 23
lbs, and they stand 10 to 11 inches tall at their
shoulder.

Coat: Scottish Terriers have a harsh wiry,
dense outer-coat that is about 2 inches in length.
Scottish Terriers are most commonly solid black,
but they can also be brindle, wheaten or any other
solid color.
Disposition: Scottish Terrier dogs are
on the lookout for adventure, they like excitement
in their daily life. Scottish Terriers can be
territorial and aloof, they tend to attach to
one or two people. They are loyal to their families.
