Origins: Weimaraners were initially
bred for royalty to hunt large game including:
boar, bear, and deer. Weimaraner is known
to be an "all purpose" gundog.
Description: Weimaraners are medium
to large size dogs, with an athletic build.
They are muscular and well proportioned.
Weimaraners have triangular, floppy ears
and a small pointed nose. Weimaraners
traditionally have short docked or cropped
tails.
Size: Weimaraners weigh between
55 to 82 lbs, they stand 23 to 27 inches
tall at their shoulder.
