Origins: The Pomeranian is thought
to have descended from sled dogs, but
it gained popularity when nobility adopted
the breed.
Description: Pomeranians are small
compact dogs, but they are sturdily built.
Pomeranians have a highly plumed tail
set high that curls over their back. Pomeranians
have a small head and nose with a "mane"
of fur around their head, similar to a
lion.
Size: Pomeranians weigh 4 to 5.5
lbs, they stand 8 to 11 inches tall at
their shoulder.

Coat: Pomeranians have a thick
double coat. Pomeranians have long textured
coarse fur that stands up, giving a "puffy"
appearance". A pomeranians coat can
be almost any color but is usually red,
orange, white (cream), blue, brown or
black.
Disposition: Pomeranians are a
lively friendly breed, they are watchful
and territorial. Pomeranians require moderate
exercise. They are intelligent and can
"demand" attention if they feel
it is not sufficient.
