Origins: The original spaniels
started to appear as early as the 1600's.
Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels
were considered the same breed until the
1800's. Springer Spaniels are larger than
Cocker Spaniels.
Description: Springer Spaniels
have medium compact builds, long legs,
with feathering on the legs and tail.

sized dogs. Springer Spaniel dogs weigh
40 to 55 lbs. Springer Spaniels stand
18 to 21 inches tall at their shoulder.

to long coats that are either flat or
wavy. Springer Spaniels are black or liver
with white markings or predominantly white
with black or liver markings; they can
also be tricolour: black and white or
liver and white with tan markings.
