Origins: The Borzoi dog breed
was initially bred to hunt wolves.The
name Borzoi was derived from the Russian
word borzii, meaning swift.
Description: Borzoi dogs are long
and lean, they are often likened to long-haired
greyhounds. Borzois have small folded
ears, a long slender snout, and silky
feathering down his legs and stomach.
Size: Borzoi dogs weigh 60 lbs
to 105 lbs and they stand 26 to 30 inches
tall at their shoulder.
