Origins: Poodles were initially
bred as water dogs, and as water retrievers.
Modern Standard Poodles have become
popular sporting dogs and are active
in agility, obedience, tracking, and
even herding.
Description: Poodles are squarely
built, well proportioned dogs.
Size: Standard Poodles are the
largest of the poodle breeds. Standard
Poodles weith 45 to 70 lbs and stand
over 15 inches tall at the shoulder.

Coat: Poodles have a single
coat, that consists of profuse, dense,
curly fur. A poodles coat can be: brindle,
black, cream, red,silver, grey, blue,
brown, apricot, white, or sable.
Disposition: Poodles are intelligent
and mischevious. They are friendly,
eager to please and learn.
